For two days in August the Trademart in Jackson, Mississippi will be filled with quality arts and crafts for sale.
The event will showcase both new first time exhibitors and veteran artists and crafts people. With a wide range of talent and skills, there will be something for everyone at this event. Following the success of last year, the 2013 show will be bigger and better. Mississippi craftspeople will be displaying and selling their works of clay, leather, glass, fiber, metal, mixed media, wood, paper, and jewelry.
Developed to promote Mississippi craftspeople, this show is a 100% handmade show and is NOT a flea market. Mississippi handmade means created by the hands of a Mississippi artisan.
Unlike any other show in the state, the Mississippi Craft Show is specifically designed to show-off the talent and creativity of Mississippi's home-grown craftspeople, and to help promote and support new and emerging crafts people.
This show supports Mississippi no-kill animal rescue. There will be an adoption drive at the event. Come along and do your Christmas shopping, it's not too early! You could also find a loving pet in need of a forever home. You will be helping to support your community when you buy local, hand made, and supporting a local charity at the same time - just by attending!
The 2013 MS Craft Show will host Animal Rescue Fund of Mississippi (ARF) as our guest at the show. It is the mission of Animal Rescue Fund of MS (ARF) to provide shelter and sanctuary to abandoned, abused and neglected companion animals awaiting adoption in Mississippi, focusing on the metropolitan tri-county area- hinds Madison and Rankin counties. ARF will benefit from the entry fee at the show and will also be on-site with dogs and cats in need of a loving home. The Miriam Wilson Weems Kennel, run by ARF of Mississippi has moved to a new location at 395 W. Mayes Street, Jackson, Mississippi 39213. ARF is a 501c3 registered charity. Donations are tax deductible and always appreciated. Contact ARF if you would like to donate, volunteer or adopt. ARF was founded in 2005 in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
